Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. (F&R) is seeking a field testing and inspection technician to perform complex field testing and inspection of construction materials in Charlotte, NC, ensuring conformance to plans and specifications.

You will prepare comprehensive field reports, evaluate site conditions, and communicate with clients and project teams. Travel to job sites will be required with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• ICC Certifications in soils, structural masonry, or reinforced concrete are required.
• Or an Engineering Intern (EI) with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• ACI Concrete Field Technician Grade 1.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soil, asphalt, and concrete.
• Prepare detailed field reports with results and observations.
• Perform basic lab tests on soil and concrete and report results.
• Evaluate site conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff regarding construction issues.
