Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician for our Emmaus, PA office. You will perform field observations, sampling, and testing of construction materials, and maintain daily logs documenting inspections and results.

The role requires the ability to lift 60-80 pounds, valid driver''s license, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather. We offer an ESOP, paid training, and benefits including PTO, education spending, and mileage

Qualifications

• Reliable vehicle and valid driver''s license
• Ability to lift/move up to 60-80 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in all climates and on varying terrain
• Attention to detail and safety
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Read and interpret plans with training provided

Responsibilities

• Field observations at regional jobsites.
• Sampling and testing of construction materials.
• Prepare accurate daily logs with inspection results for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel.
• Communicate project progress to PM or Operations Manager.
