Job summary

Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates in Emmaus, PA is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician. You will perform field observations at regional jobsites, sample and test soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel, and prepare detailed daily logs.

Strong communication with PMs and the operations team is essential. Equipment handling includes lifting up to 60-80 pounds, and you must be able to work outdoors in varying climates.

Qualifications

• Experience performing field observations on construction sites.
• Ability to sample and test soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel.
• Prepare accurate daily inspection logs and communicate progress to PM/Operations Manager.
• Proficient in MS Office; able to read/interpret plans and specs with training.
