We seek a Construction Field Technician to join our CMT team, performing outdoor testing on roads, buildings, and infrastructure while training will be provided. The role involves travel to Fredericksburg-area sites, collaborating with engineers and inspectors, and documenting results using tablets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and stay active.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to construction sites in the Fredericksburg region to perform field testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Work alongside contractors, engineers, and inspectors on active construction projects.
• Perform basic field tests using specialized equipment and industry procedures.
• Document test results and site observations using a tablet or field reports.
• Communicate with project managers and field supervisors regarding testing needs or site conditions.
• Maintain and properly use testing equipment while following safety standards.
