Job summary

Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates (HCEA) seeks a Construction Materials Testing Technician in the Lehigh Valley (Emmaus), PA office, to perform field observations, sampling and testing of construction materials on diverse land development and construction projects.

You will work independently and with our team, using a tablet and MS Office, and communicate progress with the PM or Operations Manager. Experience with ACI/NICET/WACEL certifications is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to lift and move up to 60-80 pounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to meet pre-employment criteria and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field observations at jobsites in the region.
• Sample and test construction materials (soil, aggregates, concrete, etc.).
• Prepare accurate daily logs with inspection results.
• Communicate project progress to PM/Operations Manager.
