• Accredited four year degree and eight years of related experience, or twelve years if non-degreed
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors and visitors
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and control an appropriate portion of the purchasing or regional indirect procurement function
• Develop or assist in development of purchasing, expediting, or field purchasing activities
• Perform material buying, expediting, or field purchasing in line with OSR and project/Material Management Plans
• Provide supervision to purchasing, expediting, and support staff as assigned
• Monitor and manage the Material Management Work Process to meet project requirements and schedule
• Negotiate terms and conditions to obtain best value for the project
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures and corporate standards
• May travel to attend business matters
• Oversee warehouse activities and coordinate with Construction and Purchasing for material issuance
• Maintain complete receiving records and ensure safety/data handling as required
• Oversee outbound shipments and ensure proper packaging and hazardous material handling
