Role: Field Marketing Manager (New York)
Reports To: Director of Field Marketing
Location: New York
Jetty Extracts is looking for an enterprising and enthusiastic Field Marketing Manager to lead the brand’s retail and field activation across New York State. Reporting to the Director of Field Marketing, this role will deepen Jetty’s engagement with the New York cannabis industry, through in-store demos, events reaching retail buyers and budtenders, and community events that engage with cannabis consumers. The Field Marketing Manager will collaborate with Jetty’s Brand Marketing and Sales, as well as 3rd party Sales & Brand Ambassador teams, to develop and roll out promotional programs.
- Manages the Jetty brand onboarding & training for all new New York-based Jetty and 3rd party Brand Ambassadors
- Directly manages Jetty Brand Ambassadors and oversees relationships with 3rd party Brand Ambassador agencies
- Ensures that Jetty’s sales and marketing campaigns are executed through in-store pop-in and demo activities
2. Key Account Support
- Meets regularly with NY Key Account Managers and Sales leadership (both Jetty and 3rd party) to strategize about how Jetty can best adapt to current NY market conditions
- Collaborates with Key Account Manager to optimize key account support across staff sampling, training, promotional, demo, digital and visual merchandising opportunities.
3. Event Activation
- Partners with Jetty & 3rd party Sales and Marketing teams to identify and vet B2B and B2C events, set goals, plan timelines and activate.
- Executes all B2B and B2C events within NY territory, including but not limited to tradeshows and conferences, budtender engagement, in-store retail activation, and consumer-facing community events
- Staffs B2B and B2C events within NY territory as needed
- Supports Brand Ambassadors in scheduling and executing in-person retail staff training as requested by Sales to onboard new accounts in a timely manner.
- Ensures that Brand Ambassadors are thoroughly educated on Jetty’s brand positioning & product offerings to effectively performing in-person staff trainings
- Supports virtual training platform (e.g. SEED Talent) onboarding and maximizes budtender engagement.
- Serves as liaison with key account store managers on the development and installation of standard and custom in-store visual merchandising
- Ensures that Jetty’s visual merchandising guidelines are being adhered to across NY
- Facilitates creative requests for visual merchandising and in-store POP materials
- Partners with Brand Ambassadors to install custom visual merchandising displays
6. Jetty Swag
- Provides support and feedback to Brand Marketing on local needs and requirements for swag & giveaway procurement and development
- Initiates creative requests for new swag production to ensure adequate promotional items to support field activations.
7. Partner Integration
- Acts as liaison between Jetty and 3rd party Sales & Brand Ambassador teams, specifically within the New York territory
- Ensures 3rd party Brand Ambassador team members are appropriately onboarded to the Jetty brand, and are equipped to provide Jetty brand and product information to New York buyer, budtender and consumer audiences.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 4+ years of event planning, trade marketing, and branding experience
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and excellent at juggling multiple projects at once
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate internal leaders/teams across functions
- Passion for the cannabis industry
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
