Field Marketing Manager – Experiential & Events
San Mateo, CA | Full-Time | Onsite | Salary up to $165K
We’re partnering with a hiring manager at a leading Physics AI technology company transforming how engineering teams design, develop, and bring products to market.
We’re looking for a creative, high-energy Field Marketing Manager who can rethink traditional B2B events and create experiences that make people excited to engage with transformational technology.
This is an opportunity to build something fresh—not simply repeat the same event playbook.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the company’s event portfolio end-to-end, from strategy and budget to logistics, on‑site execution, and post‑event follow‑up.
- Partner closely with the CMO and Head of Sales to identify opportunities, develop creative event concepts, and build experiences that strengthen customer relationships and generate pipeline.
- Create memorable experiences for senior executives and technical audiences, from intimate executive dinners and premium hospitality to industry conferences, workshops, and unique customer experiences.
- Bring fresh ideas to how the company shows up at industry events, standing out alongside innovative technology and aerospace companies.
- Develop experiences that get executives out of the office and excited to spend time with the company and its customers.
- Build event strategies around target accounts, customer priorities, and sales initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, matching their energy, understanding their goals, and translating commercial priorities into engaging marketing experiences.
- Manage event budgets, venues, vendors, agencies, contracts, logistics, and on‑site execution.
- Develop compelling event promotion, invitations, technical workshops, live demos, and follow‑up campaigns.
- Own event data and reporting in HubSpot and Salesforce, including registration, lead routing, attribution, and pipeline impact.
- Measure event performance through cost, meetings held, accounts engaged, pipeline influenced, and lessons learned.
- Continuously experiment with event formats, venues, and experiences—and use results to improve what comes next.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience leading B2B events, field marketing, or experiential marketing, ideally within technology or deep tech.
- Experience executing a range of events, from executive dinners and customer experiences to large industry conferences.
- A creative, entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to challenge conventional event formats.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to connect naturally with different audiences.
- A charismatic, engaging host who can read the room and adapt to executives, engineers, customers, and sales teams.
- Someone who understands the sales mindset, speaks the language of Sales, and builds credibility with sales leaders and reps.
- Experience designing premium, memorable customer experiences—including unique venues, hospitality, and relationship‑building events.
- Strong operational instincts and attention to detail. You can manage the moving parts while staying calm and energetic on‑site.
- A data‑driven approach to experimentation. You can explain why you tried something, what the results were, and how you’ll improve.
- Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, event attribution, and pipeline reporting.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25–40%, with heavier travel during conference season.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial technology, or AI.
- Familiarity with events such as NVIDIA GTC, AIAA, or NAFEMS.
- Experience launching a conference or customer event from the ground up.
- Experience with ABM and integrating events into broader account plans.
- Familiarity with AV, staging, video production, and creating post‑event content.
- Experience working in export‑controlled or cleared environments.
The Ideal Candidate:
You’re part creative marketer, part strategic sales partner, and part exceptional host.
You know how to create experiences that executives remember—and that Sales can turn into meaningful relationships and business opportunities.
You bring energy and charisma without being over‑the‑top, creativity without losing rigor, and a strong commercial mindset without sacrificing the customer experience.
You’re not looking to repeat the same playbook. You want to experiment, challenge convention, and build events that make a lasting impression.
Reporting Structure:
This role reports directly to the CMO and works closely with the Head of Sales and his team. You will have the opportunity to own the function directly with the CMO.
If you’re excited about creating standout experiences for a company bringing transformational Physics AI technology to market, we’d love to hear from you.
