Job summary

Underwater Mechanix Services (UMX) seeks a Marine Construction Foreman to lead a field crew on marine, heavy civil, waterfront, and diving support projects. Based in Jacksonville, FL, this full-time role requires travel and close coordination with the Field Superintendent and Dive Supervisor when diving operations are involved.

You will supervise daily work, ensure safety and quality, manage resources, and maintain accurate records while complying with OSHA and NAVFAC/USACE standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six years in marine/construction field environments.
• At least two years as Foreman/Lead person supervising crew.
• Experience with NAVFAC/USACE/USCG or federal projects.
• Ability to read and follow drawings, specs, and plans.
• Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain security credentials.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise field employees; assign daily tasks and monitor performance.
• Lead marine, heavy civil, waterfront, and diving support activities with Field Superintendent.
• Coordinate manpower, tools, equipment, and interfaces with other crews; manage mobilization/demobilization.
• Ensure work follows drawings, specs, submittals, and scope; report delays or issues.
• Lead toolbox talks, JHAs/JSAs, PPE verification, and inspections; enforce safety requirements.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with quality standards; correct deficiencies.
• Maintain crew-level records and report progress and resource needs to Field Superintendent.
