Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a field machinist to support nuclear outage projects across the United States and nearby countries. You will travel to multiple sites, operate portable machining equipment, perform precision measurements, and assist with EDM tasks in a high-stakes energy environment.

The role requires hands-on machining experience, the ability to read complex drawings, and a strong mechanical aptitude. Travel is extensive, and safety is a top priority.

What Youll Do

• Perform field machining (cutting, boring, milling, facing)
• and electrical discharge machining (EDM) support
• Set up and operate portable machining equipment
• Execute precision measurements, alignments and fits
• Support critical energy projects in the field

What You Bring

• Hands-on machining experience (manual or portable)
• Shop Machining Experience a Plus
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and tolerances
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel, work in demanding, hands-on environments
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• You will pass a stringent background and drugscreen
