Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services in Manning, SC, is seeking a high-impact field machinist to support nuclear outages and other energy projects. You will travel across the United States and neighboring countries, set up and operate portable machining equipment, and perform precision measurements and fits.

You will work with cutting-edge technology, read blueprints and tolerances, and contribute to safety, quality, and excellence in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on machining experience required (manual or portable).
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and tolerances.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and work in demanding environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent; background and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field machining (cutting, boring, milling, facing).
• EDM support as needed in field projects.

What You'll Do

• Perform field machining (cutting, boring, milling, facing)

and electrical discharge machining (EDM) support

• Set up and operate portable machining equipment
• Execute precision measurements, alignments and fits
• Support critical energy projects in the field

What You Bring

• Hands-on machining experience (manual or portable,

Shop Machining Experience a Plus)

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and tolerances
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel,work in demanding, hands-on environments
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• You will pass a stringent background and drugscreen
