Job summary

Experience with heavy equipment and willingness to follow safety protocols is preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL with HazMat endorsement required.
• Must operate a manual-transmission vehicle.
• Prior experience servicing construction equipment preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of yellow iron/heavy equipment.
• Must have basic hand tools necessary to perform tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Self-starter with good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine lubrication and preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Service and maintain yellow iron, including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, skid steers, rollers, and other heavy equipment.
• Check and service engine oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant, transmission fluid, grease, and other fluids.
• Inspect equipment for leaks, worn components, damaged parts, and maintenance needs.
• Identify and report mechanical problems to the supervisor or mechanic.
• Perform routine inspections and basic repairs as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, fluid changes, and services.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Maintain and properly care for tools, service equipment, and company vehicles.
• Follow safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Keep work areas and vehicles clean and organized.
• Assist mechanics and other maintenance personnel as needed.
