Job summary

Oftedal Construction, Inc. is seeking a technician to fuel, lubricate, and inspect heavy equipment, and perform preventative maintenance. A Class B CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsement is required for this role.

You will inspect equipment daily, inform mechanics of needed repairs, keep fuel and parts on site, and follow manuals to ensure safe, reliable operations across company sites within the trade area.

Job description

Fuel, lubricate and inspect heavy equipment parts and components for damage and perform preventative maintenance on company heavy equipment. Class B CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsement required.

Essential Functions

• Maintain and service company heavy equipment by lubricating and fueling daily.
• Perform daily inspections to inform mechanics of needed repairs.
• Complete preventative maintenance services on all types of equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain on site inventory of fuel, oil, and filters.
• Use hand wrenches, pneumatic grease gun, hammers, impact tools, screw drivers, and filter wrenches to complete work.
• Read and understand oil reference guides, application and cross reference manuals.
• Accurately and timely submit work orders, fuel reports, parts requisitions, meter readings and time sheets.
• Travel to and from job site in company trade area.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and fitness tests prior to employment.
