Job summary

Zentro is seeking a Low Voltage Technician in Los Angeles to join the Field Operations team and support Broadband Technicians in installations and troubleshooting for residential and commercial clients. As part of leadership, you will help develop the team and ensure service quality.

The role requires installing structured cabling systems, testing copper cables to certification, and working in confined spaces.

Qualifications

Ability to climb and work at elevations from ladders, poles, lift trucks exceeding 18 feet.
Work in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces, utility holes).
Experience with testing and terminating copper/Cat cable runs to industry standards.

Responsibilities

Analyze and troubleshoot basic technical problems or issues.
Build out closets and dress bundles of cables in closet.
Review, interpret and work with cut sheets, drawings, blueprints and testing documents.
Accurately test copper cables to required certification.
Install Cat3, Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A Structured Cabling Systems.
Install outlets, pull cable, fire stopping and pre-termination.
Maintain records of repairs and fixes for future reference.
Terminate, assemble and install 8-pin modular and coaxial connectors.
Test, diagnose and correct copper problems.
Reference ANSI/EIA/TIA and local Low Voltage codes.
Determine closet layouts and install closet hardware.
