Job summary

Alexander & Schmidt seeks a Loss Control Field Representative to perform on-site inspections of property, general liability, and incidental auto exposures. You will prepare underwriting reports and upload them through web-based systems, supporting underwriters in selecting profitable business.

The role requires strong communication, time management, and travel within a 60 mile radius. Certifications like CSP/OHST/ALCM/ARM are preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience with a commercial carrier or as an independent loss control contractor.
• Understanding of commercial property and casualty lines including property, GL, auto and WC.
• Strong writing, organizational and computer skills.
• Excellent time management abilities.
• Travel within a 60 mile radius.
• Certifications CSP/OHST/ALCM/ARM preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections of commercial and residential properties.
• Prepare reports for underwriting purposes and upload them to reporting portals.
• Provide loss control guidance to insureds to help reduce losses.
• Deliver high-quality, accurate loss control surveys for underwriters.
