Job summary

Alexander & Schmidt is seeking a Loss Control Field Representative to perform on-site property, general liability, and incidental auto inspections and to prepare underwriting reports for insurance purposes.

The role requires 3–5 years’ experience with a commercial carrier or as an independent loss control contractor, strong communication and writing abilities, and the ability to travel within a 60-mile radius. Certifications CSP/OHST/ALCM/ARM are preferred.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience with a commercial carrier or independent loss control contractor.
• Understanding of property and casualty lines including property, general liability, auto and workers compensation.
• Solid communication skills—including writing ability, organizational skills, and computer skills.
• Travel within a 60 mile radius.
• Certifications CSP, OHST, ALCM and/or ARM are preferred, but not required.
• Uploading reports, photos and diagrams via a website or web-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site loss control inspections for property, general liability, and auto exposures.
• Prepare detailed underwriting reports for commercial or residential properties.
• Upload completed reports and supporting photos/diagrams to the client portal or web-based systems.

At Alexander & Schmidt, a Loss Control Field Representative performs on-site property, general liability and incidental auto inspections and prepares reports for insurance underwriting purposes. Insurance companies use the reports to properly insure commercial or residential buildings or properties for a new policy or renewal of a current policy.

Required Skills

• A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience with a commercial carrier or working as an independent contractor providing loss control services.
• Understanding of commercial property and casualty lines including property, general liability, auto and workers compensation.
• Solid communication skills—including exceptional writing ability, organizational skills, and computer skills
• Travel within a reasonable territory, 60 mile radius
• Professional certifications CSP, OHST, ALCM and/or ARM are preferred, but not required.
• Uploading completed reports, photos and diagrams through a special website or complete reports on web based systems
