Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Lineworker for the Tamworth, NH area. The role involves constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining distribution and transmission circuits, substations, and related facilities.

Candidate must have strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to climb and work on poles. Minimum 18 months overhead line experience, high school diploma or GED, and willingness to obtain a Class A CDL with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required, with a minimum of 18 months overhead electric line experience on energized and de-energized lines.
• Ability to become certified rubber glove for 34.5 kV.
• Must reside within 30 minutes travel time to the assigned Area Work Center within six months of employment.
• Must obtain a valid Commercial Driver's license (Class A) and maintain a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, repair, maintain and remove distribution and transmission circuits, substations and related facilities.
• Rig poles on energized and de-energized circuits.
• Install transformers, voltage regulators, capacitors and reclosers; replace fuses; work on underground equipment and energized equipment.
• May perform tasks generally associated with lower rated classifications.
