Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Lighting & Electrical Service Technician in California to perform lighting maintenance, minor electrical repairs, and troubleshooting at retail and commercial locations. The role requires independent work, a strong safety commitment, and excellent customer service while supporting branch goals.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, service of assigned accounts, documenting work orders, and coordinating with Sales teams.

Qualifications

• Current California NRLT or General Electrician Certification.
• 2+ years of lighting maintenance and electrical service experience in commercial or retail environments.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and safely in a field service environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective lighting maintenance and minor electrical repairs.
• Service assigned customer accounts and maintenance routes.
• Troubleshoot lighting and electrical systems and recommend additional repair needs.
• Accurately complete work orders, material tracking, and service documentation.
• Operate company vehicles, ladders, aerial lifts, and other access equipment safely.
• Support customer satisfaction initiatives and maintain professional client relationships.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in after-hours, weekend, and on-call service schedules as needed.
• Collaborate with Service and Sales teams to support customer and business objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
