Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Lighting Technician to perform interior and exterior commercial lighting repairs, maintenance, and upgrades across California.

This full-time role operates Monday through Friday with occasional weekends and overtime possible, and requires safe handling of electrical systems and adherence to company policies. Responsibilities include diagnostics, troubleshooting egress and emergency lighting, replacing tubes, bulbs, LEDs, and other

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial electrical/lighting experience as Electrician, Lighting Technician, or Maintenance Technician
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and MVR check
• Overtime availability including weekends
• Proficient English communication and ability to write reports and emails
• Proficient in using a cell phone for communication
• Ability to follow safety guidelines (Cal/OSHA) and company policies

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics on commercial electrical and lighting components
• Troubleshoot, upgrade, and repair egress and emergency lighting systems
• Replace lighting tubes, bulbs, LEDs, and other components in interior and exterior fixtures
• Work with Title 24 lighting systems
• Experience with refrigeration controls or Ansul systems is a plus but not required
• Provide professional customer service regarding lighting repairs status
• Operate company vehicles according to guidelines
• Read and work from blueprints, sketches, and schematics
• Complete and submit service paperwork and reports per standards
• Perform additional duties to support department operations
