Job summary

LVI Associates seeks an experienced Superintendent in Houston to lead daily field operations on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role requires coordinating crews, subcontractors, and equipment to deliver projects on schedule, safely and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underground utilities, lift stations, treatment facilities, and municipal infrastructure, with proven leadership and ability to read complex drawings and specs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of water mains, sanitary sewer systems, storm drainage, lift stations, and treatment facilities.
• Experience managing self-perform crews and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Solid understanding of scheduling, production tracking, and project sequencing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Greater Houston area as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations on water and wastewater construction projects.
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment resources.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and work plans.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and municipal representatives.
• Track production, manpower, equipment utilization, and project progress.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure proper execution.
• Identify and proactively resolve field issues to minimize project delays.
• Maintain quality control throughout all phases of construction.
