Job summary

Lvi-Associates in Houston is seeking a hands-on Superintendent for Water and Wastewater Construction to lead day-to-day field operations on municipal projects, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality.

You will manage crews, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, review plans, and drive progress against budgets, while maintaining strong safety practices and stakeholder communication. Travel across the Greater Houston area is required; OSHA training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in water and wastewater construction projects including lifting stations and treatment facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; OSHA certification is preferred.

Salary: USD110000 - USD130000 per year

Our client is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their team in Houston. This position will oversee the day to day field operations of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on construction leader with a strong background in underground utilities, water transmission, wastewater collection systems, lift stations, treatment facilities, and municipal infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily field operations on water and wastewater construction projects.
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment resources.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and work plans.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and municipal representatives.
• Track production, manpower, equipment utilization, and project progress.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure proper execution.
• Identify and proactively resolve field issues to minimize project delays.
• Maintain quality control throughout all phases of construction.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of water mains, sanitary sewer systems, storm drainage, lift stations, and treatment facilities.
• Experience managing self-perform crews and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Solid understanding of scheduling, production tracking, and project sequencing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Greater Houston area as needed.
