Stantec is seeking a Resident Engineer to lead field construction oversight for projects in Illinois, coordinating with contractors, designers, and regulators. The role requires a PE license, strong communication, and 7+ years of construction management experience.

Formación

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years related construction management experience.
• Licensure: Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• IDOT Documentation and materials certifications preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs day-to-day field construction oversight to ensure work aligns with design, budget, and schedule.
• Coordinates with on-site contractors and participants to resolve issues without directing construction methods.
• Ensures compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory agencies.
• Performs QA/QC including peer reviews on projects.
• Prepares portions of construction management service proposals and client communications.
• Supports phase reviews and construction sequencing during Preconstruction and Construction phases.
• Acts as primary field contact with client, regulators, and third parties during construction.
• Manages field office document controls and collects inspection documentation.
• Organizes and chairs project progress meetings and reviews plans and shop drawings.
• Identifies risks or claims from contractor activities and negotiates change orders.
• Prepares trend reporting and final deliverables; coordinates final inspections and warranties.
• Mentors construction field staff and assists with project proposals.
