Job summary

Lynker Corporation in Panama City, Florida seeks a Mesophotic and Deep Benthic Survey Lead to coordinate at-sea survey operations, manage data annotation, and contribute to analyses, reports, and publications. The role requires leadership of survey components and advanced marine science knowledge.

The candidate will work with ROV/UUV operations, GIS, and data management, with travel and fieldwork aboard NOAA ships anticipated.

Qualifications

• Master’s in marine science or equivalent with related experience.
• Ability to prepare college-level reports and deliver presentations.
• ArcGIS knowledge and spatial analysis for mission planning.
• Experience leading at-sea surveys with ROV/UUV operations.
• Familiarity with hydrographic and biological data handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead at-sea survey operations aboard NOAA ships as Field Party Chief.
• Coordinate schedules, equipment, vessels, and field personnel.
• Annotate video, manage data, and ensure QA/QC of datasets.
• Prepare cruise instructions and reports; present findings as needed.
• Support data analyses and development of scientific products.
