Job summary

Lynker is seeking a Mesophotic and Deep Benthic Survey Lead to coordinate at-sea survey operations, lead data components, support video annotation and data management, and assist with analyses, reports, and presentations. This role supports NOAA-related projects and will hinge on contract award.

The position focuses on mesophotic and deep-benthic surveys using ROVs/AUVs, with responsibilities spanning field leadership, equipment coordination, data QA, and scientific communication.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in marine science or a related field or a bachelor’s degree with at least three years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with common word processing, databases, statistics, and graphics programs.
• Ability to prepare reports and deliver oral presentations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate at-sea survey operations and lead assigned survey components.
• Annotate, review, and QA/QC remotely operated vehicle video footage.
• Prepare cruise instructions, reports, and required documentation.
• Lead data projects and ensure data standardization and security.
• Support analyses, graphs, and publications for scientific results.
