Job summary

Network Connex Company seeks a Field Lead Technician (L3) to lead installation teams in fiber optic projects within live data centers. You will oversee wiring, testing, and troubleshooting, ensuring safety and quality standards while coordinating with engineers, vendors, and customers.

You are a subject matter expert in fiber optic installation, testing, and complex troubleshooting, with at least 5 years of field experience and OTDR/OLTS certifications. Expect travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; technical training or associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in data center, structured cabling, or field service environments.
• Fiber optic testing experience at scale; OTDR and OLTS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead field teams to install, test, and troubleshoot fiber and copper cabling.
• Oversee scope, work plans, and field execution with minimal direction.
• Conduct toolbox talks and on-site safety discussions; coordinate with engineers and vendors.
• Diagnose complex fiber/copper issues; ensure QA/QC standards are met.
• Develop and mentor L1/L2 technicians; provide performance feedback.
