Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in the United States is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead field activities, support preconstruction planning, and help manage schedules and safety on industrial projects. You’ll work with seasoned professionals committed to growth and a strong safety culture.

You will coordinate with the Project Manager, supervise subs, and ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and per specifications. Strong communication and a can-do attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered)
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
• Valid Drivers License

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction Planning – Attend post-award meetings to review project details and assist with construction planning before work begins.
• Project Scheduling – Work with the Project Manager to develop construction schedules, sequencing, staffing plans, and equipment needs.
• Field Leadership – Oversee daily construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to project specifications.
• Subcontractor Coordination – Manage subcontractor activities, communicate schedule updates, and ensure work is properly coordinated across trades.
