The Douglas Company is seeking a Construction Assistant Superintendent to support day-to-day field supervision on projects in Orlando, FL. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage safety protocols, read blueprints, and help ensure quality and timely delivery across multi-family and healthcare-related construction.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in construction leadership, and experience with ground-up projects.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in the Construction Industry as an Assistant Superintendent or General Foreman.
• Ground-up construction experience required.
• Healthcare experience preferred (Senior Living/Skilled Nursing/Assisted Living/Independent Living).
• Multi-Family experience preferred
• Wood-Framed construction experience preferred
• Strong conflict management skills and a high level of assertiveness
• Attention to detail, quality, and safety are paramount
• Ability to work with diverse project management teams

Responsabilidades

• Direct craft personnel and subcontractors.
• Schedule and sequence day-to-day activities of work.
• Oversee projects to ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Enforce site cleanliness and safety.
• Proactively solve problems that could delay construction.
• Ensure projects are performed to contractual and quality standards.
• Maintain daily paperwork as assigned.
• Read and comprehend blueprints, shop drawings and subcontracts.
• Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Minimize costs in field operations.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate documentation control policies between office and field.
• Assist with RFI creation and submittal review.
• Support implementation of Site Logistics plan.
• Coordinate with Subcontractors and enforce plans.
• Participate in QA processes and punch list.
• Inventory materials and ensure turnover/signoff by Subcontractor.
• Document field activities and close punch-list items timely.
