Job summary

The Douglas Company is seeking a Construction Project Superintendent to oversee all site activities for healthcare and multi-family projects in Florida. You will supervise field personnel, ensure safety, quality, and on-time completion within budget.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years leading ground-up construction, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with multiple teams while managing schedules and submittals. Travel up to 100% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years on-site lead Superintendent experience.
• Ground-up construction experience required.
• Healthcare/Senior Living experience preferred.
• Multi-Family experience preferred.
• Strong conflict management skills and assertiveness.
• Attention to detail, quality, and safety are paramount.
• Ability to work with diverse project teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises all construction activities.
• Directs field personnel to complete the project on schedule and within budget.
• Maintains adherence to the construction schedule and resolves issues.
• Orders materials and schedules inspections as needed.
• Reviews submittals and shop drawings for accuracy.
• Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, and authorities.
• Prepares and supervises final punch list completion.
• Promotes job site safety and rectifies hazards immediately.
• Ensures all workers comply with company safety policy.
• Maintains an organized job site and construction office.
• Encourages team communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
• Upholds high standards and quality across the project.
• Structured and efficient work practices.
