Job summary

The Douglas Company is seeking a Construction Project Superintendent to lead site operations on multi-family and senior living projects. Reporting to the field management team, you will oversee all field personnel, ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence, and drive project success from ground break to punch list.

Most projects are ground-up, ranging from $10M to $70M; travel up to 100% is possible. A high school diploma and 5+ years on-site superintendent experience are required, with

Qualifications

• 5+ years of on-site lead Superintendent experience in the Construction Industry.
• Ground-up construction experience required.
• Healthcare experience preferred (Senior Living/Skilled Nursing/Assisted Living/Independent Living).
• Multi-Family experience preferred.
• Strong conflict management skills and a high level of assertiveness.
• Attention to detail, quality, and safety are paramount.
• Ability to work with diverse project management teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises all construction activities.
• Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
• Makes sure construction schedule is followed and problems are solved.
• Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process.
• Reviews submittals and shop drawings.
• Maintains relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, local authorities and other employees.
• Prepares, schedules and supervises completion of a final punch list.
• Promotes job site safety and rectifies hazards immediately.
• Ensures adherence to company safety policy by all personnel.
• Maintains an organized job site and construction office.
• Encourages team communication and collaboration among project participants.
• Upholds high standards of quality and efficiency.
