Job summary

ServiceSource, Inc. in Denver is seeking a Field Lead to supervise job sites for participants experiencing disability, justice involvement, poverty or homelessness. You will ensure safety, train staff, manage logistics, and coordinate with partners to support successful work placements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with ability to be insured by employer's automotive carrier.
  • Preferred 2 years' experience with justice-involved individuals.
  • Lived experience with justice involvement eligible for consideration.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care for individuals facing poverty, homelessness and disabilities.
  • Driver's license with 3 years of clean standing and insurability by SSI's carrier.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all job-site activities; train personnel for safety and work quality; manage assets and equipment; ensure supplies are on hand; communicate with participants and management.
  • Transport participants to designated work location and return at end of day.
  • Provide job readiness coaching for dynamic skills needed to obtain and maintain employment.
  • Maintain progress notes and service data in client database daily; complete required paperwork timely.
  • Attend staff and community meetings and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Salary/Hourly Rate: $25.00

This position will provide direct field supervision for individuals experiencing disability, justice involvement, poverty, and/or homelessness enrolled in our employment programs. The Field Lead position will oversee all job site activities and ensure that participant workers are trained appropriately for their site (i.e. personal safety, use of equipment, body mechanics, PPE, reporting of accidents/injuries, etc.). This position ensures that the logistics of the sites are managed (transportation, food, equipment) and keeps in close contact with the Supervisory Field Lead & Director of DayWorks, Case Managers and Employment Specialists for coordination. This position may shop for food and supplies, and prepare lunches as needed.

Primary Duties

  • Develop a good rapport with participants and understand hurdles caused by or exacerbated by disability, justice involvement, poverty, and/or homelessness.
  • Utilizing trauma informed practices, connecting participants to resources relevant to the individual.
  • Supervise all activities on the job site: training personnel to ensure safety and work quality, manage assets and equipment, ensure all needed supplies are on hand, communicate with our participants and management as needed.
  • Perform tasks side by side with participants, always maintaining line of sight supervision of all crew members.
  • Transport participants at designated location to begin workday and drop them back off at the conclusion of workday.
  • Provide applicable job readiness coaching on dynamic skills needed to obtain and maintain employment as opportunities arise on site.
  • Keep progress notes and service data up to date in client database daily. Complete all paperwork required in a timely manner.
  • Attend applicable staff and community meetings.
  • Performs other duties to include jobsite coverage as assigned by management.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Welcome new participants and organize crew for day labor. Coordinate lunches for workers.
  • Develop good rapport with our participants and provide mentorship, advocacy, and rehabilitation support to individuals exiting the Colorado Department of Corrections as well as other justice involved while working side by side on the job.
  • Connect participants with case managers for relevant health, food/nutrition and other resources using trauma informed practices.
  • Work collaboratively with a wide variety of constituents and adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with city partners.
  • Keep vehicle cleaned and sanitized daily and in good overall condition. Notify supervisor of any maintenance or repair needs as they occur.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by employer's automotive carrier.
  • Preferred 2 years' experience working with those that are justice involved.
  • Lived experience with justice involvement are eligible for consideration for this position.
  • The candidate for this position should have considerable experience in crisis intervention, trauma informed care practices, supporting individuals experiencing poverty, homelessness and disabilities as they strive to obtain and retain employment, money management, benefits assistance issues, an understanding of mental illness, and how these influence employment situations.
  • A valid driver's license with 3 years of good standing and with no more than 3 points. Must have a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by SSI's automotive carrier.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent communication skill both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer skills including email, MS Office, Data Entry.
  • Excellent ability to work independently.
  • Able to work outside in Colorado weather during all seasons.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
