Job summary

White Construction is seeking a Field Engineer (FE) in Austin, TX to support the Superintendent in front-line field management. The FE will lead layout work, supervise trades, lift drawings, and ensure safety and quality control on multifaceted projects.

The role focuses on survey-based project layout, coordination with subcontractors, and delivering accurate field results while upholding safety standards and company values.

Qualifications

• Experience in field layout and surveying per design documents.
• Ability to supervise trade workers and coordinate with subcontractors and surveyors.
• Knowledge of safety and quality control practices on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Project layout (surveying) in conformance with design and contract documents.
• Check concrete forms for accuracy and adequacy of construction, including embedded items.
• Perform production trend analysis for quantities of work and report for weekly and monthly schedule and cost control.
• Assist with quality control, site safety initiatives and coordination of trade partners as delegated by the project superintendent.
• Coordinate material deliveries by checking requirements and delivery status; inspect materials for quantity, quality and condition.
• Assist foremen and trade partners with interpretation of plans and specifications.
• Oversight of trade partners and direction of workforces to gain supervisory experience.
• Participate in jobsite safety meetings, weekly safety audits, etc.
