Job summary

Paramount Field Services is seeking an experienced Contract Field Landman to support title research, due diligence, and leasing work in Monroe County, Ohio. The role is based primarily at the Monroe County Courthouse in Woodsfield and in the field, delivering accurate, well-documented work that meets Paramount and client standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of field landman experience in Ohio or the Appalachian Basin.
• Ability to run complete mineral chains of title and prepare runsheets and ownership reports.
• Working knowledge of Ohio real property and oil and gas records, including ORC 5301.56 and ORC 5301.47 et seq.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) and comfort learning client platforms.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform title research in Monroe County records and prepare ownership reports.
• Prepare runsheets, title abstracts, and document packages per specifications.
• Identify title issues such as severed interests and Dormant Mineral Act considerations.
• Research oil and gas leases, assignments, and unitizations.
• Conduct heirship and owner-locate research using courthouse records.
• Negotiate and acquire oil and gas leases within client terms.
• Assist with right-of-way and surface use title research.
• Maintain daily logs and submit timesheets and expenses.
• Communicate project status to the Project Manager.
• Represent Paramount professionally with landowners and courthouse staff.
