  • Prepare runsheets, title abstracts, ownership reports, and supporting document packages to Paramount and client specifications.
  • Identify and document title issues, including severed and reserved mineral interests, unreleased leases, probate and heirship gaps, and potential Ohio Dormant Mineral Act and Marketable Title Act considerations, and elevate them for review.

  • Assist with right-of-way and surface use work, including easement and pipeline title research, as project needs require.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, document images, and data entry in Paramount and client systems, and submit timesheets and expense reports on schedule.
  • Communicate project status, blockers, and findings promptly to the Project Manager or Lead Landman, following Paramount chain-of-command procedures.
  • Represent Paramount and its clients professionally with landowners, courthouse staff, and the public.
Required Qualifications

  • AAPL membership; RPL or CPL designation.
  • Experience with mineral owner negotiations and lease acquisition.
  • Experience with land and title software such as Courthouse Direct, ThoughtTrace, or similar platforms, and basic GIS or mapping tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Land Management, Business, or a related field.

  • Engagement is on an independent contractor (1099) basis.
  • Contractor must provide a completed W-9 and proof of general liability and auto insurance at the limits required by Paramount [confirm limits].
  • Contractor must sign Paramount’s independent contractor agreement and confidentiality agreement prior to starting work.
