Job summary

Paramount Field Services is seeking an experienced contract Field Title Landman to support an active oil and gas title project in Huntington, West Virginia. The Field Title Landman will perform courthouse records research to build accurate mineral and leasehold ownership chains for client acquisition, leasing, and drilling programs.

This is a contract, independent contractor (1099) role with a day-rate; schedule Monday–Friday during courthouse hours, with travel to surrounding counties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of oil and gas courthouse title research experience, with Appalachian Basin exposure.
• Ability to run full mineral title and prepare accurate runsheets and ownership reports.
• Working knowledge of WV recording practices and severed mineral estates.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mineral, surface, and leasehold title research in county clerk offices.
• Prepare ownership reports and runsheets, tracing severed interests.
• Identify liens, encumbrances, and curative items for review.
• Enter results into project tracker daily and maintain confidentiality.
