Job summary

American Contracting & Environmental Services is seeking skilled Laborers to support field operations on water and wastewater construction projects. You will assist skilled trades with pipe installation, concrete work, excavation, and general site support.

Ideal candidates have construction experience, are dependable, ready to work in a hands-on field environment, and capable of following directions as part of a team. This full-time role includes safety-focused tasks and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of construction experience.
• Ability to perform physical labor in an outdoor construction environment.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team.
• Successful completion of drug screen, physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rigging and handling of materials and equipment.
• Support installation of piping systems including ductile iron, PVC, copper, and steel.
• Assist with pipe testing and layout activities.
• Support formwork construction, rebar placement, and concrete pouring and finishing.
• Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks as needed.
• Assist with excavation, backfill, and site preparation.
• Operate basic equipment such as forklifts, small backhoes, and aerial lifts.
• Support demolition and site cleanup activities.
• Unload, organize, and store materials on site.
• Work alongside skilled trades to support daily field operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and jobsite expectations.
