Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design in Colorado is seeking a General Laborer to join our SUE Services team. You will assist in subsurface utility engineering tasks, read utility records, and operate equipment under supervision.

This entry-level role supports field operations across renewable energy and infrastructure projects, with potential for career growth, a safety-focused environment, and opportunities to learn advanced technologies like electromagnetic locating and vacuum excavation.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years experience with electromagnetic and geophysical designating technologies.
• Experience with vacuum excavation preferred.
• Must be able to quickly grasp new technologies.
• Basic computer skills; ability to learn new software.
• Proficient communication and collaboration in a team.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather and travel occasionally.
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs and drive safely.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of talented individuals to help tackle a wide variety of projects.
• Read and interpret utility records, as-built and survey drawings and highway design plans.
• Designate existing utilities using electromagnetic and geophysical technologies.
• Operate and drive a vacuum excavation truck and perform test holes to expose utilities.
• Utilize appropriate maintenance of traffic.
• Coordinate survey work in relation with SUE.
• Represent Colliers Engineering & Design in the field and communicate/coordinate with utility companies.
