Job summary

Klaasmeyer Construction Company Inc. is seeking a Laborer to join the Field Operations team in Little Rock, AR. You will assist excavation and trenching operations, hand-dig near underground utilities, install conduit channels, and restore sites after work.

This is a safety-sensitive, physically demanding role requiring reliable, hardworking individuals. Travel may be local or regional; a valid driver’s license and OSHA/Flagger certs are preferred or pursued after hire.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform sustained hard physical labor in all weather conditions.
• Reliability—shows up on time and works the full day.
• Safety aware—follows rules around equipment and underground utilities.
• Prior construction or general labor experience preferred; willing to train the right person.
• Valid driver’s license required; OSHA 10 and Flagger certification preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Hand digging around existing underground utilities in congested areas where the excavator can't go.
• Potholing to expose and verify utility locations before the Equipment Operator gets close.
• Laying and installing conduit and innerduct — fittings, couplings, grade, and alignment.
• Backfilling, compacting, and restoring the ground surface to pre-construction condition.
• Spotting equipment, setting up traffic control, and supporting the crew throughout the day.
