Job summary

Revel IT is seeking a Field & L2 Support Technician for Radiology IT Services in Columbus, OH. This hybrid role combines on-site field support, Level 2 troubleshooting, and basic networking to maintain radiology workflows.

You will work with imaging centers, coordinate with central IT teams, and help deploy equipment, with travel a couple times per month and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in desktop support (Windows) and peripherals.
• Experience with radiology systems and workflows is desirable.
• Basic switch/router configuration and firewall troubleshooting.
• Ability to handle on-site IT setup and equipment installations.
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for radiology imaging centers, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot workstations, imaging devices, printers, and radiology software including PACS, RIS, PowerScribe, and EPIC.
• Serve as an extension of centralized L2 support by performing field-based troubleshooting, installations, and escalations.
• Perform basic networking tasks, including cable testing, port tracing, and light configuration of switches and firewalls.
• Assist with racking, unracking, and physical setup of IT equipment in data centers, telecom rooms, and offices.
• Monitor system performance on-site, identify issues, and document resolutions.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a versatile and driven IT professional to serve as theeyes and hands in the fieldfor radiology IT operations. This hybrid role combineson-site field support,Level 2 troubleshooting, andbasic networking tasksto maintain the stability and performance of systems critical to radiology workflows. You will support imaging center users directly while coordinating with central IT teams to maintain, optimize, and expand infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site technical support for radiology imaging centers, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot workstations, imaging devices, printers, and radiology-specific software including PACS, RIS, PowerScribe, and EPIC.
• Serve as an extension of centralized L2 support by executing field-based troubleshooting, installations, and escalations.
• Perform basic networking tasks, including cable testing, port tracing, andlight configuration of switches and firewalls.
• Assist with the racking, unracking, and physical setup of IT equipmentin data centers, telecom rooms, and office environments.
• Monitor system performance on-site, identify anomalies,escalate issues as needed, and thoroughlydocument resolutions.
• Assist with technology rollouts, imaging center onboarding, equipment refreshes, and site surveys.
• Maintain accurate local inventory of IT equipment, accessories, and spares.
• Collaborate with IT teams to improve support processes and infrastructure reliabilitybased on field insights and user feedback.
• Deliver high-quality support with urgency and empathy, recognizing the impact IT has on clinical care and patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in desktop support (Windows OS, workstation/peripheral troubleshooting).
• Working knowledge of radiology systems and workflows is highly desirable.
• Experience performing basic switch/router configuration and firewall troubleshooting.
• Comfortable handling physical IT setup tasks and equipment installations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and documentation practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to support both clinical and technical users.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (travel to multiple sites required).Travel occurs a couple of times per month, not daily.
• Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 40 lbs.
