A high school diploma and 2–5 years’ experience in hood suppression or related fire protection systems are preferred, with manufacturer certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2–5 years’ experience servicing kitchen hood suppression or related fire protection systems.
• Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Ansul, Pyro-Chem, Kidde) preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA 17A and applicable local codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service, and maintain kitchen hood suppression systems per NFPA 17A and local codes.
• Perform system installations, repairs, and upgrades as needed.
• Identify deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and communicate findings to customers and internal teams.
• Complete service documentation and deficiency notices accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with customers, fire marshals, and scheduling teams to ensure service delivery.
