Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to work under a Foreman or Superintendent, potentially overseeing a small crew. You will install, alter and repair electrical systems, read schematics, and learn additional divisions such as low voltage and controls.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings, valid tools, and a team-oriented mindset. Weekend/overtime availability may be required.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience performing electrical construction in commercial and/or industrial environments.
• Demonstrate the Amteck Way in daily work activities, behavior and decision making.
• Able to work project schedules including weekends and overtime.
• Willingness to participate in field training (OJT, classroom-based, or virtual).
• Ability to read basic construction documents used daily.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, brand circuit and feeder conductors.
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out work from electrical drawings and project documents, including underground layout.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
