Job summary

AMG Tech Support is seeking skilled field technicians to support our national client base. This role goes beyond basic helpdesk tasks, with field work across multiple environments, including installing operating systems, cabling, and telecom tasks.

If you thrive in the field and value variety, this opportunity is for you. You will operate as a 1099 contractor, on-site across retail, medical, restaurant, and corporate settings, and be on-call for service requests within your territory.

Qualifications

• PC and printer troubleshooting experience.
• Minimum 1 year in IT or Telecom, plus one certification or 5+ years field experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• OS installations, hardware diagnostics, and software setup.
• Structured cabling (drilling, running, and dressing cables).
• Telecom work (punch-downs, demarc extensions, etc.).
• Work independently across environments: retail, medical, restaurant, and corporate.
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism with clients.
• Be on call and ready to respond to service requests within your territory.
