Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking a field-based IT/Network Technician to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair network equipment and telecommunications systems across multiple sites. You will document issues and verify repairs to ensure reliable performance and service quality.

The role requires 2–4 years of IT infrastructure experience, strong cabling and Ethernet skills, familiarity with Cisco, Ubiquiti and Cradlepoint hardware, and the ability to work non-traditional hours with up to 75%

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2–4 years IT infrastructure experience or equivalent.
• Experience with Ethernet, fiber, coax, and RF systems.
• Familiarity with Cisco Enterprise equipment and VLANs.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair network equipment at field locations.
• Document and verify equipment issues and repairs to ensure network quality.
• Support LAN/WAN, 4G/5G modems, and wireless systems; monitor network performance.
• Install cabling (CAT5/6, fiber) and perform OSI Layer 1 diagnostics.
