Job summary

Computer World Services, Corp. seeks Field Support Technicians to provide hands-on technical support for the USMEPCOM ENLIST program, covering network connectivity, telecommunications, cabling, end-user devices, and on-site or remote support across multiple locations.

Responsibilities include incident diagnosis/resolution, on-site wiring, asset documentation, and on-call outage response. A DoD-8140.03 aligned certification path and an active secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in IT, Networking, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant IT field support experience.
• Experience troubleshooting network connectivity and end-user devices.
• Ability to follow technical diagrams, rack layouts, and recovery procedures.
• Strong customer-service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote support for USMEPCOM Headquarters, MEPS, Remote Processing Substations, COOP sites, and other locations.
• Diagnose and resolve network, telecommunications, cabling, hardware, software, and end-user device incidents, including LAN/WAN/VPN issues.
• Participate in 24/7/365 outage response, reporting within contractual timeframes for Severity 1 and 2 incidents.
• Execute approved troubleshooting, recovery, and contingency procedures, verify restoration with site personnel.
• Document incident timelines, diagnostic steps, and resolutions for incident reports and root-cause analyses.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, and replace laptops, desktops, thin/zero clients, network devices, VoIP handsets, and peripherals.
• Install, terminate, test, label, and document copper and fiber-optic cabling; maintain racks and patch panels.
• Assist with site surveys, relocations, refreshes, COOP exercises, and planned maintenance.
• Coordinate with installation service providers on various networks and cloud incidents; support disaster-recovery activities.
• Maintain site inventories, rack layouts, as-built diagrams, and installation documentation.
• Follow security, safety, change, asset, and configuration-management procedures.
