Job summary

Tallgrass seeks an IT Field Technician II (Finance) to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair network equipment across field locations. The role ensures optimal network performance and accurate documentation of issues and repairs.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree or 2+ years IT experience, plus experience with Layer 1 Ethernet, VLANs, Cisco gear, Cradlepoints, and Ubiquiti radios. Travel up to 75% and non-traditional hours required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years IT infrastructure experience.
• Experience with Layer 1 Ethernet, coaxial cables, multimode and singlemode fiber optics, and RF systems.
• Experience with VLANs, MAC addresses, CDP, and STP.
• Experience with Cisco Enterprise network equipment.
• Experience with Cradlepoints 4G/5G modems.
• Experience with Aprisa and Ubiquiti radios.
• Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to juggle multiple assignments under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of network equipment at field locations.
• Document and verify equipment issues and repairs.
• Ensure optimal network performance and quality.
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure across sites.
• Share after-hours support and assist with escalations.
