Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) is seeking an IT Field Communications Specialist II/III/Senior to keep enterprise and field communications assets resilient and operational across Arizona. You will install, maintain, and support complex communications systems, and coordinate with vendors to resolve escalations.

The role requires travel statewide, hands-on troubleshooting, and the ability to design and implement IP networks and public safety microwave solutions in a large utility environment.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a high school diploma.
• PLUS two (2) years related experience troubleshooting and repairing metering and control systems.
• Proven experience working on all types of supervisory equipment used by APS.
• Ability to travel statewide, work outdoors, and work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and support enterprise and fieldbased communications equipment to ensure reliable service delivery.
• Maintain and troubleshoot technical assets, restoring services quickly when issues arise.
• Support disaster recovery efforts by redesigning traffic routing to restore communications and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate and direct thirdparty vendors or partners when escalated support is needed.
