Job summary

Gallagher's eShepherd team seeks a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and test advanced livestock tech. You’ll work with IoT devices and firmware updates, interfacing with customers and partners worldwide to ensure high-quality service and rapid problem resolution.

You’ll join a hands-on, globally connected team delivering hardware and software solutions that improve productivity and animal welfare across markets.

Qualifications

• Electronics, IT, electrical or related technical qualification, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing electronic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Experience with IoT devices, firmware updates, CRM systems or inventory management platforms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair eShepherd products to component level.
• Refurbish and test returned equipment ready for redeployment.
• Investigate warranty returns and identify root causes.
• Support customer and partner technical enquiries.
• Validate firmware updates and product releases.
• Capture service insights and provide feedback to engineering teams.
• Assist in developing service procedures and troubleshooting resources.
• Help drive continuous improvement across service operations and customer support activities.
