Credentialed Background Investigator Experience Required

Qualifications

• Minimum active favorable T5 (TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE) required!
• Direct field investigations experience conducting DCSA/NBIB background investigations in the past 12 months with proof of NTS certification
• Ability to professionally and effectively interact with a variety of individuals
• Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment with limited supervision
• Excellent organizational, scheduling and prioritization skills
• Maintain high level of confidentiality, ethics and integrity
• Proficient writing and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a Google Environment
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation; public transportation acceptable if practical. Driving is essential, and Motor Vehicle Records may be checked. Poor driving history will disqualify candidates.
• Required to carry sufficient motor vehicle insurance; specifics may change.

Responsibilities

Conduct background investigations to determine employment suitability for persons requiring access to sensitive or classified U.S. Government information, primarily supporting the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). Tasks include face-to-face interviews, record searches at police agencies, courthouses, educational, financial, and medical facilities. Report all information clearly in government systems.

Expenses such as mileage, tolls, parking, etc., will be reimbursed. Investigators work remotely from their homes with access to a contractor liaison and are paid per task. Regular travel within a 50-mile radius is required, with potential for greater distances with negotiated premiums.

Note: As a federal contractor, marijuana use is prohibited regardless of state laws.
