Job summary

WESCO is seeking a Technician - Field Inventory to travel across assigned areas, check stock, and place orders. You will build rapport with store management and support OSRs with sales efforts while ensuring accurate inventory and eStock data.

The role requires heavy lifting, driving, and up to 100% travel. You will interface with customers, perform on-site inventory, and contribute to e-commerce order processing.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• High School Degree or Equivalent.
• 1 year of electrical, construction, or mechanical products experience preferred.
• 1 year of resolving technical, equipment, and service-related issues preferred.
• Able to multi-task and use hand tools and heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers to evaluate needs and communicate to OSR.
• Maintain on-site daily product reporting and analysis to ensure supply chain controls.
• Source, upsell, and build relationships with customers.
• Provide daily support of OSR's sales efforts and account maintenance.
• Ensure actual inventory count and communicate with warehouse personnel.
• Assist with on-site product location and identification.
• Enter, review, and release orders to support e-commerce solutions.
• Communicate changes, shortages, and concerns to customers and branch management.
• Ensure data in eStock is accurate and up to date.
• Answer questions on Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI).
• Perform daily scanning and sync tasks.
• Maintain eStock and eCrib VMI labels and revisions.
• Deliver presentations on WESCO LEAN value, including Point of Use.
