Job summary

RTI International is seeking part-time Field Interviewers to join the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) team. You will contact households, conduct interviews, and communicate the importance of participation in this government-sponsored study.

The role requires evening and weekend work, English fluency, a valid US driver’s license, and comfort using RTI-issued devices. Training and virtual meetings are included, with focus on data quality and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Effective communication skills in speech and listening.
• Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking.
• Valid US driver’s license and reliable personal automobile for business use.
• Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop and other associated equipment.
• Access to password-protected Wi-Fi for data transmissions and administrative responsibilities.
• Ability to keep project information confidential.
• Available for training and data collection period.

Responsibilities

• Travel to locations to recruit study participants.
• Make in-person contact with respondents to discuss the study and obtain participation.
• Adhere to schedules set by the Field Supervisor for contact times.
• Administer computer-assisted interviews and collect confidential information.
• Transcribe, transmit, and manage data as scheduled.
• Maintain and secure project equipment and incentives.
• Attend scheduled meetings and complete trainings.
