Job summary

CB&I is seeking an Insulation Technician to maintain equipment and operate field machinery for insulation of storage tanks both domestically and internationally. You will work independently under the Insulation Manager, with a focus on safety and quality, and will travel up to 50% of the time from Plainfield, IL.

The role demands 2+ years in construction, mechanical, or insulation roles, a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant working experience in construction, mechanical or insulation roles.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic computer knowledge and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Basic equipment maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
• Mechanical aptitude - work on motors, pumps or compressors.
• Polyurethane foam and/or paint spraying.
• Equipment shipments, setup, operation and breakdown on site.
• Installation of proprietary insulation systems on storage tanks.
• Follow and promote safety first work ethic.
